EMS are proud of our commitment to quality procedures.

We have attained ISO9001 standard for all business activities and at our most recent audit we achieved the newest ISO9001:2015 standard.

ISO 9001:2015 sets out the criteria for a quality management system. The standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach and continual improvement.

Specific to EMS Geotech, we work to the following statutory guidance, including;

• BS5930:2015 for ground investigation

• BS10175:2011 + A1:2013 for contaminated land investigations

• Eurocode EC7: Parts 1 and 2 (ref BS EN 1997-1:2004 and BS EN 1997-2:2007)

• Contaminated land regulations, including CLR11 for contaminated land risk and assessment

• BRE SD1 for concrete classification

• BRE365 and BS6297:2007 + A1:2008 for soakaway design

• Ciria C665 and BS8485:2015 for Ground gas risk assessment

• Ciria C733 for Asbestos in soil

• NHBC Standards 2016

The Environment

EMS are mindful of our impact on the environment and reducing wastage and pollution through our activities. We do this by being mindful of fuel usage and economy. We also ensure good route planning to ensure that we make the most economic use of our vehicles to minimise pollution caused by our vehicle emissions.

EMS also have a dedicated environmental policy and continue to make regular improvements to minimise our impact on our environment. Alongside this we also have a working at home policy which allows us to minimise our employees fuel emissions. EMS are also currently working towards ISO14001.

Safeguarding

EMS value safeguarding and all of our staff are DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checked. EMS ensures that these are renewed every three years to ensure that these records are kept up to date. EMS keeps records of all DBS checks, and these are kept in electronic form on the company server. Paper copies are also kept of all employee certificates. These are stored electronically and physically at our head office.
